Seifert x | blade is an easy-to-use non-destructive (NDT) X-ray inspection system suitable for castings, with unique ultra-high imaging quality and large volume throughput capability. It integrates the robot positioning and imaging chain (which can be customized to meet specific needs) of the tested components with an image review, sharing, and archiving system that meets DICONDE requirements, providing fast and flexible detection and review. The Seifert x | blade system is one of the products of GE's Inspection Technology business unit, used to help customers transition from film based radiographic imaging technology to digital radiographic imaging technology.
Features:
Customizable imaging chain optimized with a combination of basic spatial resolution and focal size to meet image quality requirements or minimize exposure times to the greatest extent possible
Automated detection plan equipped with robot positioning, enabling multiple observations without the need for human-machine interaction
E persistent scintillator technology can eliminate detector ghosting and lag
The complete system has a small footprint and maximizes the use of components and concepts from the released platform
A solution that meets DICONDE requirements, equipped with several options for data storage and retention, utilizing the query function to query all fields marked with DICONDE tags
Use GE's Flash! Filter (a dynamic adjustment algorithm used to check the consistency of image performance), click once to optimize image observation
Using digital reference images of software tools with contrast locking mechanisms for detection and classification according to ASTM standards
Automatic component recognition integrated into the detection workflow, equipped with optical scanners and recognition systems
Application:
Automated aviation casting inspection
Seifert x | blade is a non-destructive testing (NDT) solution suitable for the aviation sector to inspect cast turbine blades up to 400 mm in length and up to 8 kg in weight. The x | blade function complies with the metal's economic affordability plan (MAI) and name spelling (ASTM) standards for approval. Digital radiographic imaging technology not only has all the advantages of film based radiographic imaging technology, but also avoids its disadvantages. While enhancing the functionality of radiographic imaging technology, it also gains the advantages of digital technology in data processing, analysis, and storage. For example, turbine blades need to be inspected using the Seifert x | blade system.
