M3 is a programmable microcomputer protection and measurement device, designed with high capacity and resource redundancy, suitable for protection, control, measurement, and monitoring of power grids with voltage levels of 35kV and below. It can be configured as different types of lines, feeder transformers, motors, capacitors, PT voltage protection, etc., and can also achieve functions such as incoming line interconnection/backup connection of through lines.
Main functions:
- Protection function: It can provide comprehensive line protection functions such as quick break, overcurrent, timed limit, inverse time limit, overvoltage, undervoltage, frequency, locked rotor, unbalanced voltage (current), overheating, acceleration after closing, zero sequence, negative sequence, CT disconnection, reclosing, PT disconnection, control circuit disconnection, non electricity protection, etc.
- Measurement and metering functions: Full three-phase electricity, including voltage, current, power factor, frequency, active power, reactive power, active kWh, and reactive kWh.
- Display screen: LCD 128 × 32 power on screen programmable graphic display, 4 lines of English or 2 lines of Chinese characters display measurement values, measurement values, switch status, setting values, communication settings, time settings and other interfaces.
- Indicator light: Programmable three color indicator light, which can define display properties and indicator parameters.
- GPS timing: The GPS timing accuracy is 1ms, and TTL and RS422 modes can be selected.
- SOE event recording: Provides SOE recording functionality.
- Fault recording function: Provides COMTRADE format recording files with time scale standards.
- Communication function: Supports communication methods such as RS485, Ethernet, and multiple communication protocols.
Interface:
- Optional 7-way or 4-channel (no measured current) AC current input: connected to protection CT and measurement CT respectively.
- Optional 4-channel AC voltage input: Connect 3-phase AC voltage or other voltage inputs separately.
- Standard configuration includes 10 DI channels: AC/DC dual-use.
- 7 channels of DO: DO1-DO6 can all be connected to the control circuit, and the first four channels can be directly connected to the opening and closing circuit.
- Optional anti bounce circuit module or additional 6-way DI module.
- RS485 interface, optional Ethernet port, and other multiple interfaces (each interface is independent of each other).
Programmable functions:
It has programmable product logic functions that are only available on high-end products of other foreign companies, and users can freely define protection logic and other functions on a unified hardware platform. Support dedicated programmable debugging software PLPShell, through the RS232 interface of the panel, users can easily program and debug the protection function logic, engineering, and testing of M3 at any time, fully realizing the configurability of the protection device. More flexible settings can avoid on-site replacement of equipment models and the need for spare parts for each model.
