The IMPACS substation integrated automation system is suitable for various industries' power transformation and distribution systems, meeting the characteristics of combining industrial substations with industrial control. The IMPACS substation integrated automation system is suitable for various industries' power transformation and distribution systems, meeting the characteristics of combining industrial substations with industrial control. It adopts a hierarchical/distributed structure, and larger systems mainly consist of a monitoring main station and monitoring sub stations. The main station monitoring is located in the main voltage reduction station, and the sub station systems are located in the distribution station.
The system configuration is flexible, and the stations are independent of each other. The backbone communication network adopts fiber optic Ethernet communication method, which has scalability. The communication of on-site equipment adopts Category 5e double shielded communication twisted pair serial communication method. The on-site equipment has multiple installation modes, which can be installed in a decentralized manner or in a centralized screen configuration.
The monitoring master station equipment provides local monitoring functions and forwarding functions to higher-level dispatch. It mainly consists of the main control unit, monitoring host, remote control workstation, and other workstations, which can be added or removed as needed. The communication data processing unit DPU is the communication core equipment, which adopts standard protocols and conveniently collects information of various manufacturer protection and control devices in the step-down station into the background monitoring system through serial communication.
The monitoring substation system is equipped with a communication data processing unit (DPU) to achieve independent SCADA system functions and communicate with the main station for data.
Equipment selection
The protection configuration of the substation is equipped with microcomputer protection devices from INIX, GE, ABB, and SIEMENS companies.
High and low voltage distribution monitoring and metering configuration: INXI's L-series multifunction meter or GE's EPM series multifunction meter.
The power quality analysis device adopts various series of power quality analysis devices from GE, providing online power quality analysis and warning for industrial production.
Low voltage motor protection configuration INIX's L7 achieves conventional low voltage motor protection, replacing traditional thermal relays.
The low-voltage automation transfer switch is equipped with GE's ATS series products to achieve automatic switching of power supply.
Uninterruptible power supply configuration: GE's UPS series products provide uninterrupted power supply.
The PLC control system partially integrates DCS control functions, such as the sorting unit of the rectification system. The system uses branded PLC to achieve its more complex control functions.
The system software adopts WITPOWER software system, MICROSCADA software system or GE's ENERVISTA software system.
