When the nut and bolt are tightened under load, tightening the nut will cause the bolt to elongate.
The BG80 series accurately measures elongation, which in turn measures the percentage of time (in billionth of a second), elongation, load, pressure, and bolt tension.
Using ultrasound, this instrument is not affected by temperature, friction, or resistance. The adoption of standard torque measurement technology enables the G80 series to achieve an accuracy of 0.0001mm (0.00001 inch).
Using RS232 interface and optional shut-off accessories, this instrument can be programmed to automatically stop the locking process when appropriate load is obtained.

When the firmware is tightened, its length (elongation) also increases. The force applied when the firmware is tightened can be measured by a manual torque wrench, and its accuracy is affected by temperature, friction, and resistance. BG80&BG80TDL ultrasonic measurement of length changes accurately determines the applicable load when the fastener is tightened, without being affected by temperature, friction, and resistance. |
