The KV-500 petroleum product kinematic viscosity tester complies with the national standard GB/T265-88 "Petroleum Product Kinematic Viscosity Determination Method and Dynamic Viscometer Algorithm", and is used to determine the kinematic viscosity and dynamic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (referring to Newtonian liquids) (dynamic viscosity can be obtained by multiplying the measured kinematic viscosity by the density of the liquid at the same temperature), with the unit of m/s2, usually used in practice in mm/s2. This instrument is also applicable to the methods specified in ISO3104, ASTMD445, and IP71 standards.

After setting a constant temperature point, the instrument automatically heats up, maintains a constant temperature, and turns on the stirring motor. When the temperature is constant, the test can be carried out according to the method specified in GB/T265-88 standard.
