BGD 238 Closed Flash Point Tester
There are two methods for determining the flash point: the open cup method and the closed cup method. The flash point determined by the open cup method is 15-25 ℃ higher than that determined by the closed cup method. The high or low flash point is related to the molecular composition of the oil and the pressure on the oil surface. The higher the pressure, the higher the flash point. Flash point is an important indicator for preventing oil fires. In an open container, the heating temperature of the oil should be 10 ℃ lower than the flash point; Heating in pressure vessels does not have this restriction.

BGD 238 Closed Flash Point Tester
Explanation: The concentration of vapor evaporated from the surface of flammable and combustible liquids (including solids with sublimation properties) increases with increasing temperature. These vapors form a mixed gas with air. When the mixed steam reaches a certain concentration, if it comes into contact with a fire source, it will produce a flash off instantaneous combustion, which is called flash ignition. The lowest temperature at which a solid undergoes flash ignition is called the flash point.
