Cole Parmer Digi Mantes can provide temperature and stirring measurements for round bottom flasks with capacities of 100-250mL, 500mL, or 1000mL by precise electronic control of stirring and heating to an elemental temperature of 450 ℃. The modular design allows heating boxes of different sizes to be swapped using the same SHM-250 digital controller as the basis, making Digi Mantles a very cost-effective choice.

Heater cylinder

The heater cylinder ensures that the temperature is evenly distributed on the round bottom flask. Even when the component temperature reaches up to 450 ℃, the exterior of the heater cylinder remains' touch cool 'due to the flow of air through the ventilation slots below and around the edges of the casing. There are three sizes of heater cartridges available for heating round bottom flasks with capacities ranging from 100 to 250mL (SHM-250D-250), 500mL (SHM-250D-500), and 1000mL (SHM-250D-1000)

SHM-250 Digital Controller

The SHM-250 digital controller is used to independently control temperature and mixing speed. The CTC (capacitive touch control) panel is easy to read and use, and you can set the desired temperature and mixing speed by using the up/down arrows. The control panel has separate indicator lights for power, heater, and mixer functions, as well as a 3-digit display screen indicating the actual temperature from the environment to 450 ℃. The stirring speed from 100 to 2000 rpm is obtained by gently touching the speed key of the mixer.

Heating is controlled by modern advanced microprocessors, which display thermal settings as a percentage of total power. The optional temperature probe can be used to more accurately measure the temperature of the contents of the flask (up to 220C); the temperature probe controls heating through a temperature feedback circuit and displays the actual temperature.

Improved mixing method

The SHM-250 digital controller and motor configuration have been upgraded to achieve accurate low-speed mixing control and higher mixing speeds. By using electric rotating magnet components to provide uniform stirring, positioned to provide maximum magnetic flux linkage, the stirrer rods in each reaction vessel are rotated.
