Low temperature globe valve refers to a valve in which the closing element (valve disc) moves along the centerline of the valve seat. According to the movement of the valve disc, the change in the valve seat opening is directly proportional to the stroke of the valve disc. Due to the relatively short opening or closing stroke of the valve stem and its highly reliable shut-off function, as well as the proportional relationship between the change in the valve seat opening and the stroke of the valve disc, this type of valve is very suitable for regulating flow. Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for use as a cut-off, regulating, and throttling device.

The axis of the valve stem of the low-temperature shut-off valve is perpendicular to the sealing surface of the valve seat. The valve stem has a relatively short opening or closing stroke and a very reliable cutting action, making it very suitable for use as a medium for cutting, adjusting, and throttling.

Once the low-temperature globe valve is in the open state, there is no longer contact between its valve seat and valve disc sealing surface, so its sealing surface has less mechanical wear. As most globe valves have valve seats and discs that are relatively easy to repair or replace with sealing components, there is no need to remove the entire valve from the pipeline. This is very suitable for situations where the valve and pipeline are welded together. When the medium passes through this type of valve, the flow direction changes, so the flow resistance of the shut-off valve is higher than that of other valves.

(6) When the nominal pressure PN of the medium flow direction is ≤ 16MPa, it is generally used to flow downstream, and the medium flows upward from below the valve disc; When the nominal pressure PN is ≥ 20MPa, reverse flow is generally used, and the medium flows downwards from the valve disc to increase the sealing energy. When in use, the medium of the shut-off valve can only flow in one direction and cannot change the flow direction.

(7) The valve disc is often eroded when fully open.
