LCM100 is a new generation conveyor developed as an alternative to belt conveyors and roller conveyors, which can be used for product handling in factories. It combines a linear motor, slider, and controller into one module to load the workpiece onto the slider for handling. Previous conveyors mainly used a fixed speed and the same direction to make the workpiece 'flow', while the 'LCM100' can use a controller to quickly and accurately control the speed, stop position, and other actions of the slider. That is to say, while changing the speed and direction of the slider containing the workpiece, it can also achieve 'free movement'. LCM100 can achieve advanced handling processes that traditional conveyors cannot accomplish.

Flexible movement of sliders and construction of highly flexible handling lines

After building a conveyor line, traditional transmission mechanisms can only move in the same direction. Even if the interval distance is long, it cannot increase the speed and can only be transported at a fixed speed. On the contrary, LCM100 can freely move forward/backward, accelerate/decelerate. It can accurately stop, change speed, or only make a part of the slider move backwards at necessary positions. Due to the ability to achieve the above flexible actions, it can surpass the previous design framework of conveyor lines and achieve designs with higher degrees of freedom.

Due to the ability to change the direction of movement, it is possible to achieve generalization of the same process. It can reduce costs and achieve miniaturization of the device.

Multiple workpieces can be placed on one slider, and efficient movement can be achieved between processes with different production distances through short distance movement and long-distance movement.

For processes with shorter processing times, they can be advanced within the same process, while for processes with longer processing times, three workpieces can be simultaneously transported at high speed to reduce movement time.

When using traditional methods, due to the insufficient rigidity of the conveyor itself, it is necessary to set up additional functions such as conveyor support or temporarily introduce workpieces for operation.

LCM100 has high rigidity and can be operated on a slider. Therefore, there is no need to spend time introducing it, which helps to shorten the production lead time. In this way, real-time production can be achieved, and semi-finished products can be reduced, while also helping to save device space.

Even for small batches, multiple varieties, and situations that require frequent process switching, flexible responses can be made through simple operations

Traditional conveyors use the method of controlling the flow of objects and must be connected to devices such as limiters for stopping workpieces and sensors for detecting and notifying the arrival of workpieces in order to perform control settings. Therefore, when changing the handling line, it is necessary to change the position of the limiter and the sensor settings, which must be addressed through both hardware and software, which is very troublesome. The LCM100 using servo control does not require limiters, sensors, etc., and the setting of the stop position only requires rewriting the program. In terms of application, its advantage is that it can flexibly cope with small batches, multiple varieties, and production that requires frequent changes to the handling line.

Simply specify the stop position through numerical values. Can achieve narrow spacing transportation. In addition, by removing the limiter, a repeated stopping accuracy of 100 µ m (including errors between sliders) can be achieved.
