　　Classification of Shore Hardness Testers
The Shore hardness tester is mainly divided into three types: Type A, Type C, and Type D. They differ in the size of the measuring needle.
The needle tip diameter of Type A is 0.79mm, and the Shore A hardness tester is used to measure the hardness of soft plastics, rubber, synthetic rubber, felt, leather, and printing rollers;
The diameter of the D-type needle tip is 0.2mm, which means the radius is R0.1. The Shore D hardness tester is used to measure the hardness of hard plastics and hard rubber, such as thermoplastic, hard resin, flooring materials, bowling balls, etc. It is particularly suitable for on-site hardness measurement of rubber and plastic products.
The C-type measuring needle is a ball with a diameter of 5mm. Shore C-type hardness tester is used to measure soft materials such as foam materials and sponges.
