High density sedimentation tank process:

1. Actiflo process

The Actiflo process was developed by the engineering subsidiary of Veolia Water Group and has been used for drinking water and wastewater treatment in Europe since 1991. Its characteristic is to use fine sand of 45-150 microns as a carrier to enhance coagulation, and to use inclined tube sedimentation tanks to accelerate solid-liquid separation speed. The surface load is 80-120 m/h, and the highest can reach 200 m/h. It is currently the most widely used carrier flocculation technology.

Raw water is mixed with coagulant, and in the mixing tank, a certain speed gradient is ensured through the stirring effect of a stirrer, allowing the coagulant to quickly mix with the raw water.

The high-efficiency sedimentation tank is divided into two parts: flocculation and sedimentation. In the flocculation tank, flocculants are added, and the turbine mixer in the tank can achieve multiple circulation rates of stirring, shear suspended solids in the water, and re form large flocculants that are easy to settle.

The sedimentation tank is divided into a pre settling zone and an inclined tube settling zone by partitions. In the pre settling zone, the flocs that are easy to settle quickly settle, and the small flocs that are not easy to settle in the future are captured by the inclined tubes. Finally, high-quality effluent is collected and discharged through the top collection tank of the tank.
