Collecting RNA viruses from the air
Having ZePore ™ The Virus Pore virus sampling kit with a filter membrane has been specially designed and validated to collect airborne RNA from coronaviruses, and so on. It can also be used to sample RNA from other viruses, including coronaviruses.
Vira Pore is capable of collecting viral particles while ensuring the stability of viral RNA during sampling, transportation to the laboratory, and storage prior to analysis. Then the viral RNA can be eluted and RT-PCR analysis can be performed using primers specific to the studied virus.
