The DL2011 total manganese automatic online analyzer combines advanced sequential injection technology with spectrophotometry to detect the concentration of high valence manganese oxidized by oxidants in water. This instrument can achieve real-time, rapid, and accurate analysis of manganese content in water quality, which reflects the degree of heavy metal manganese pollution in the water.

Working principle

The instrument uses formaldehyde oxime spectrophotometry to determine total manganese. Under high temperature and high pressure, potassium persulfate, which has strong oxidizing properties in acidic media, oxidizes low-priced manganese in the water sample to tetravalent manganese. Ammonium chloride ammonia water is used as a buffer solution, and tetravalent manganese in the water sample reacts with the color reagent formaldehyde oxime to form a yellow brown complex. Within a certain concentration range, the absorbance of the system is proportional to the concentration of manganese ions, and the total manganese content in the water sample can be determined by spectrophotometry. The system is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) to achieve automatic analysis and obtain more accurate detection results.
