Baking soda air pulse dryer refers to the process of continuously adding loose powdered or granular wet materials into a drying tube using an appropriate feeding method. Under the transportation and dispersion of high-speed hot air flow, the moisture in the wet materials evaporates to obtain powdered or granular dry products. A typical airflow dryer is mainly composed of an air heater, feeder, airflow drying tube, cyclone separator, bag filter, fan, etc. The characteristics of the airflow dryer are as follows.

⑴ High drying strength. Due to the high dispersion of materials in the airflow, the total surface area of particles is the effective area for drying, resulting in a high intensity of heat and mass transfer.

⑵ Short drying time. The speed of the drying medium in the airflow drying tube is generally 7-18m/s, and the contact drying time between the gas-solid phases is very short, usually 1.5-2s. It is also a co current operation, so it is particularly suitable for drying thermosensitive materials.

The structure of the airflow drying tube is simple, occupies a small area, and is easy to construct and maintain.

⑷ Large processing capacity and high thermal efficiency. When dry non bound water, the thermal efficiency can reach 60%.

⑸ The system has high resistance, and due to the high operating gas velocity, the system pressure drop is large, resulting in high power consumption. Dry products need to be collected using a cyclone separator, so the separation system has a heavy load.

The product has significant wear and tear. Due to the high operating gas velocity, the material is easily crushed and worn, making it difficult to maintain the crystalline shape and luster before drying
