The unit continuously recirculates the air in the room or outdoors, cooling (heating) the air through a cold water (hot water) coil to maintain a constant room temperature. Usually, fresh air is processed by a fresh air unit and sent indoors to meet the demand for fresh air volume in air-conditioned rooms.

According to the number of pipes, they can be divided into two rows of pipes and three rows of pipes. The number of rows referred to by the fan coil unit refers to the number of rows of copper pipes in the surface cooler of the fan coil unit. Generally, two rows are two rows of copper pipes, with 8 pipes in each row, for a total of 16 copper pipes; Three rows refer to three rows of copper pipes, with 8 pipes in each row, for a total of 24 copper pipes.
