Investment in the future: New automated semi-finished product warehouse
The new automated warehouse, which has been fully operational at the Monza headquarters for several months, represents the heart of Elesa's integrated logistics system. The facility has a considerable size (9.5 meters wide, 7 meters high, and 70 meters long), with an initial storage capacity of 29000 containers that can be expanded to over 43000, designed to meet growing demand and production peaks.
The system is equipped with advanced technology to ensure optimized management of material flow and perfect synchronization with the assembly department. Select components, assemble them into a complete kit, and deliver them directly to the workstation, supporting continuous operation and improving production efficiency. The automated safety service quality facility is fully automated, with 3 picking stations (expandable to 4) and 6 dedicated sorting machines to provide materials for the production line. This advanced automation eliminates human errors and ensures the accuracy of inventory management and picking operations in workstations that comply with ergonomics and safety. Fire prevention is also of utmost importance: the warehouse is equipped with smoke detection systems and automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing systems to ensure the safety of goods and personnel to the greatest extent possible.
